Gbaby Designs is the mother/daughter team of Sylvia Rundles and Giovonnie Samuels. The name “Gbaby” came from the daughter’s nickname while on the set of Nickelodeon’s “All That.” Their business started in 2002 when Giovonnie wanted a handbag portraying women of color, couldn't find one, so they bought a bag and painted it.
