What is a canvas reproduction?
We can craft a canvas reproduction, also known as a transfer from any print or poster.
First, the print is coated with a special chemical which seizes the ink. The resulting ink film is then carefully separated from the paper and embedded into high quality artist canvas. At this point, the picture has an image true to the original painting with a lustrous oil sheen and rich canvas texture. This is known as a basic transfer.
Why buy canvas reproductions?
Choice — in terms of quantity and quality, your choice of reproductions is as expansive as art history itself. Almost any painting, including many great masterpieces, for which a print exists, can be obtained as originally intended, on canvas.
Price — Compared to matted & framed posters and original oils, canvas reproductions offer great value. They have the look of the latter and the price of the former, rendering a museum look for less than you ever thought possible.
Quality — Tasteful and beautiful, properly crafted reproductions are also durable and easy to maintain. A damp cloth or mild furniture polish can be used to remove dust and particles from the picture surface.
“Every picture tells a story” — When you purchase a canvas reproduction, you are selecting more than wall decor. Many paintings for which prints exist entail aspects of history, culture, and technique particular to the artist and the era in which he or she painted. These facets are brought home with your picture, to be shared with family and visitors alike.

Mounting options for your canvas print?
Mount on Stretchers – mounted on stretchers and it is ready to be framed.
Museum Wrap – Museum wrap is the process where the canvas instead of being stapled on the sides, which is normally how they are produced, our team will leave additional canvas material on the sides. This is done because when they get to the "Stretching" stage of the canvas, they use the additional canvas to pull and staple to the back. This makes the piece more presentable for those that do not wish to have a frame.
All ArtisanArtsOnline.com canvas transfers come stretched on a custom made wood-bar frame so they are ready to hang!
We offer Museum wrap with the edges painted a color that goes with the image. This gives a clean, professional & finished look from all angles. The staples are on the back, not the side s.
